I purchased a baby play yard from summer infant, weve recently had issues with the overall safety of said product. I contacted the customer service department with all the necessary information that they requested and was told that the play yards and gates shouldnt be used by any child who could, essentially, move the gate in any way, climb, and basically move in any way. Hence then the baby play yard and gates become unsafe and that it was my fault for being a negligent mother for letting my child use the gate in an un-apropriate way. I then responded, reiterating the fact that these products shouldnt be used by any child over the age of ONE at this point. They agreed to let me return the product, which i paid $75.95 for, as long as I PAID SHIPPING MYSELF (of about $20). On top of that, they agreed to only refund me $66.94 as applied credit towards their website. lets do some math here, an average of $76 (purchased item) + $20 (shipping) = $96 (total spent) - $67 (reimbursement) = $29 (wasted money out of my pocket). Summer infant, thanks to your negligence upon offering such astounding customer service I regret to inform you that you do indeed suck. Everyone should know that this is ridiculous. Their safety products are crap.
