I purchased a brand new Honda from the Danville honda dealership in 2010. It is now using a quart of oil every 1000 miles. Since I use Mobile 1 synthetic oil that cost $7 or $8 per quart depending on where you buy it, and only have to change the oil every 7 to 9 thousand miles....the added oil between changes cost more than the actual oil change. Honda says this is perfectly normal. It also causes the spark plugs to fowl out at about 53000 miles! They cost $27 each and there is a $125 labor charge to change one plug! I have always been a Honda fan until this was brought to light. The dealership sold me an additional 100,000 mile warranty but they say this is not covered because it is not drive train!!!! I really thought the engine was part of the drive train? Anyway I will go Monday and trade this is for another brand of Automobile and never will recommend the Honda to anyone else and the dealership I purchased it from. Customer service has gone to the dogs!
