I purchased this cd yesterday: Stand By for Adverts: Rare Jingles, Jazz and Advertising Electronics by Barry Gray [Trunk Records]. I love collections like this, especially when it comes to creating mixtapes in that its fun to drop in period-relevant ads to give the mix a radio feel. This CD contains 81 tracks. Not all are ads, some sound like instrumental beds for later use. Great fun, at any rate. Who was Barry Gray? He provide the scores for Gerry and Sylvia Andersons marionette series (Captain Scarlet, Thunderbirds, etc.) as well as the first season of Space 1999.
