I purposefully waited to post my big what Im thankful for post till almost midnight. It will take me a minute to get there, but I will explain... I am thankful for Gods blessings! It sounds like a cop out answer, HOWEVER I am here to prove to you beyond coincidence that there is NO other explanation. Through my 36 years on this planet, Ive done lots of neat things, been born into some cool situations and been a part of some stuff that completely blows. I was right there with a lot of you when things like losing my father at age 11 to suicide and getting laid off with a newborn happened. When I got a incredible job, a career, then to have it turn into the life sucking poison FOX turned into for me. When a church I was in love with made some questionable decisions, Ive been there. I had my fights with God, told him to kiss off and otherwise. Through all of that he continued to hang with me and give me a great family, a wife has hung in there through the ups and downs, two healthy kids, a couple of the best friends you could ask for, etc. Then one day I decided, OK, lets do this! Took a HUGE leap of faith, quit my job, with no real savings to speak of (Dave Ramsey nor Jon Acuff wouldve approved LOL). Since then, miraculously I have been offered TONS of freelance gigs, DJ gigs, all my bills have been totally covered and someone who I have been dying to work for CALLED ME and gave me a job (yes called me, not I called him)! Then a friend of mine who has selflessly been taking care of his grandmother for months (work, care for, take to dr appts, work, do laundry, NO SLEEP) posted tonight that she was unresponsive and the family was making end of life decisions. As of a few minutes ago, she WOKE up AND recognized him and the family that had gathered!!! I say this to say, Prayer DOES work, just sit somewhere quietly and pray! Call, text, message, whatever me and ILL do it with you! OK now I LOVE these people Tracy, Amanda, Michele, Todd, Jeff, Brian, Ken and Nic! Without these people in my life, I would not be who I am today! Thank you for being there, teaching, mentoring, and kicking my ass when it needed it! (P.S. if you have a better explanation how ANY of the above happened besides God, Im all ears!)
