I put the blame on the middle school, high school, and college programs who teach younger players its all about scoring. The scorer get the money, gets the shine, and playing time. the league is full of scorers but not to many can play d or in a system the requires you to make plays for other teammates or score WITHOUT THE BALL. this is why I love players like reggie miller, ray allen, mike miller, and Shane battier. even Vince carter has transformed his game to the point where he doesnt need the ball to be effective. j.r has that ability to be a great catch and shoot player. Its when he wants to score off the dribble that scares me
