I ran into an old friend of mine! I recognized his face, I know what he does for living, and I know why I wanted to reconnect with him. We chatted for a while and I told him my request and wish and he advised me the best way to solve the problem. Then his name came up. I called him John, but his name is Bob! Terrible mistake! First I apologized, then I explained, I have taught more than 3 decades and now subbing! My brain has stored thousands of names in somewhere. Sometimes a correct name jumps out and the person is very happy, You still remember my name! If it is a kid, I play this game,What does your name start with? J, K, or S? That usually helps. Well, 80% of the time. Now I feel so bad, I am sitting in my car in the parking lot! The rain makes me want to go back to the bed and curl up! Can not win all the time!
