I read a great quote by John Eldredge: Jesus wont take the shortcut of a power play. He doesnt force anyone to follow him. He seems rather reluctant to do his miracles. He never overwhelms anyones will with a fantastic display of his majesty. He woos, he confronts, he delivers, he heals, he shoots straight, and then he uses intrigue. He lives out before them the most compelling view of God, shows them an incredibly attractive holiness while shattering the religious glaze. Yes, in many ways Jesus was a rebel. He may not have been the mighty warrior many hoped for. But still, He provided a way of salvation, a lesson of love and kindness. In all His magnitude, He lets us walk away from Him if we choose. Revelation 3:20 New International Version (NIV); Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with Me.
