I read it somewhere yesterday where Senator Ibikunle Amosun was quoted to claim that Ogun State Debt is no more than #25billion because that is the maximum any bank can lend out to a State. I do not blame mr governor but i blame thousands of Ogun State citizens that always monitor, read but keep quiet ... I want to remind us on what Elie Wiesel said on this not too good approach: “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”. Back to Mr Governor, Ogun people are no dullards and we are no fools Oga Amosun, what of those roads and bridges under construction? Are you saying you have paid the contractors? If your answer is no, what name do we call those liabilities from the misplaced projects or if and when your bad government is voted out (Insha Allah) in february, 2015, are you assuring us that those will not form part of your handing over note under the column for liability? Which type of Accountant is this man sef? Mr Governor, Ogun State people are too sophisticated to have a voodoo governance as yours but OUR COLLECTIVE ERROR of 2011 is highly regretted and this MUST be corrected in february. Stop hiding, we all know that our DEBT as a State as at today is over #200billion. Back to Ogun State citizens listen to William Faulkner: “Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world (Ogun State)...would do this, it would change the earth.”
