I read that folks are up in arms that a prisoner being executed in AZ took an hour and forty minutes to die. Help me out here; why did we stop using the firing squad? A physician places a bright colored small piece of cloth over the prisoners heart and several marksmen fire at the piece of cloth on command. No one is going to survive several rifle rounds through the heart (or even several rifle rounds passing close to the heart). The prisoner will be dead almost before his body hits the floor. This is virtually instantaneous and foolproof. Problem solved. But Im sure bureaucrats can explain why the instantaneous and foolproof method isnt acceptable :/
