I read the comment about our disorganization. The writer deleted it before I could send a personalized reply. I will explain the changes so that you can understand the whole picture. 1. Breakfast was cancelled for the families the day of the Turning Blue Ceremony because of the decision to schedule the ceremony later in the morning due to it being unusually cold this year. We did not want the Soldiers to conduct the rehearsal in 29 degree weather at 0630. 2. The ceremony was changed from 1000 - 1130 hours in order to allow A/1-50 Infantry to conduct their ceremony first. The 1-50 Battalion is two miles from Kanell Field; they have to schedule buses to move to the field. Our Battalion is across the street. We walk. 3. This will not change. Graduation will be at 1000 on Friday the 22nd of November at the National Infantry Museum. 4. If it is raining on Wednesday night; the Turning Blue Ceremony location might change again...to the Echo Company Training Area. Keep checking this page. Lastly, I understand the anxiety and stress that comes with change. I remember what it felt like in Ramadi, Iraq when our year long tour was switched to nine months. We were very excited and started to ship personal items home. Then we got extended and stayed for a total of 15 months. We were all frustrated and angry.
