I read this and I had to stop and center down. When you are cut what do you bleed? Most of us wear the christian cross yet nothing has changed in our lives. We profess faith yet there is no transformation. We have quenched the fire, we have wiped out the flame and eliminated the power of God to move through us by acting according to our will.. Read this next passage and go to the mirror as I did (if you profess faith in Christ) and say do I have an ATTITUDE and the HEART of an apostle (or now a modern day disciple of Jesus)? Or do I just take up a seat in the 10am church service and enjoy my muffin and coffee? To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, brutally treated, we are homeless. We work hard with our hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; when we are slandered, we answer kindly. We have become the scum of the earth, the garbage of the world- right up to this very point. 1 Corinthians 4:11-13
