I really appologise if Im getting up a whole lot of peoples noses, but as a non-iSTD person (one who hasnt reached the final level yet and still highly dependent on BASI) all the noises over the last few days has really worried me. From a completely selfish point of view I dont know where you go from here. I feel sorry for Simon from a personal and business point of view (Im not arguing the merits for or against him) but to be honest, I think a lot of the members are like me who just want to get through this so that we can eventually earn a living doing it. Ive spent masses amount of money (as I know you all have) doing course and training and have an absolute passion for this sport but I fear that, from the noises around at the moment, BASI wont be around much longer to legitimize my qualifications. And if French/English relations are already stretched not much more will be needed surely to just completely ban us !! Sam asked a question a few days ago about the validity of our qualifications and, as 95% of the members are not fully qualified, what happens to us ?? Forgive me, Im not arguing Simons case or even the issues regarding the board, and maybe theyre completely linked to the answer but I really dont want to wake up one morning and find that all my money has been a waste and I need to start again !!!
