I really dislike the kind of mixed bad deals our governments give us and tell us it is good government. Here in Michigan we have terrible roads. We already collect enough gas tax to have good roads but they assign it to other things. So now the solution is to raise the state sales tax to 7%, which is hideous. But the tell us it will get us $1.2 billion for roads. The problem is it raises $1.9 billion. Where is the other $700 million going? Other spending! Worse, the legislature is gutless so the put it to us to vote to approve the salestax increase and new spending. Ridiculous. We should vote it down.
