I really do my best to keep my mouth shut and not speak up when I see poor art (especially as it pertains to the kind of art that I do as well). But goodness gracious, there is some really awful Spoken Word out there and I have no idea how they are getting all these views. At least with poor HipHop I understand that these guys have a huge budget behind them (along with radio, tv, etc.). That makes sense. But the random dude (or girl) on youtube with 100,000+ views who obviously hasnt perfected their craft even a little is mind blowing to me. We (myself and ill speak for the artist that I co-sign for as well) work REALLY REALLY hard at our craft! Its frustrating when others dont seem to put that same effort forth. Forgive my little rant....this was a long time coming though. And hey, its Monday...sue me ;)
