I really dont agree with all this fake patriotism for the day. Why arent we having 2 minutes silence for the Nazis? Or for Genghis Khan or Pol Pots armies? If you werent a conscientious objector then I dont think you really deserve respect. If they went into war believing it was right then they obviously didnt think about it very hard.. and if they didnt think it was right and didnt refuse then they are worse than the people who kill for fun. What we are doing now in the middle east is basically the same as what the axis were doing 100 years ago. I have no respect for modern soldiers and I dont think we should be supporting our troops. There is no reason that a fabrication in a history book should convince me that it was different back then.
