I really hope that someday we can fix this culture of commenting - TopicsExpress

I really hope that someday we can fix this culture of commenting on everything and racing to comment as soon as something happens! Who is to be blamed to develop this culture? Well I would blame the over commercial private media, racing and making money, stupid talk shows where there is no intent to invite an expert or draw a conclusion, rather get ratings and make money and why not its their bread and butter isnt it? What disturbs me more is common man joining this same race and what are we getting out if it? not money but yes fame, acknowledgement, more friends or just satisfaction of people listening to u. Where did that time go when people would try to know whats the experts comment before having their own. I hope while joining this race people realize that it is very different to comment about cricket, strike rates and bollywood and when things like right or wrong and truth and lie is happening. Special attention is required when the subject being commented about is country, religion, race, cast, sect or someones right! What a short memory our country has. Its sad. We forget that the man lying on a container and making claims, challenging people is not just u or me or a Facebook friend he is chairman of a party which got something like 68 lac votes. My God! He must have some sanity to get till there. Is he jumping to impractical solutions? No he isnt. He accepted the government and the election results. Just a demand to verify a few things some thumb verifications so black sheep among all parties be identified. No result. Election tribunals. Supreme court. No result. Let it be? Just like u and me sit home relax do our jobs earn bread. Why? No one would have pressured the government so much and put democracy at risk only if an intent was visible to do election reforms to make things better. Have we seen a top PMLN guy like saad rafiq or ishaq Dar aur nisar be put in charge of election reforms. To even just brag about it as other motorways and metro buses. Why is everyone even shy to talk about improving the elections system. I hope we all answer ourselves tonight and then question Khan of why is he doing and what is he doing. I hope we stop racing and try help him for the cause. Civil disobedience movement is a very well thought solution. It doesnt have to be done literally, but only the acceptance of the idea on all social and main stream media is good enough pressure for people who violate our right day in and day out. And if today we dont give such people who misuse power a shut up call, then accept the culture that an SHO will pay 10 lac for a job cause he knows he will eventually recover it from us! May Allah help us all and specially me in making wiser decisions. via Faizan Irfan
