I really need to get to bed. Before I go I want to tell all the families in Newtown, Connecticut who lost a child, sibling, friend etc on this terrible day two years ago that I will be thinking and praying for you as always. I receive Mrs. Parkers blog periodically at my email address, and she spoke about how she now remembers Emilie as she was two years ago, and she finds that difficult. She mentioned that last year at Halloween she could picture what costume Emilie would choose if she was still alive, but this year she could not picture what Emilie would look like, and it was unnerving for her. I know what she means a parent always remembers what their child looked like the last time they saw them, if thats the case. There are so many emotions when a parent loses a child, and unless weve lost one we cant truly understand it all. I thank Mrs. Parker for sharing her blog journey with me. I thank Mr. and Mrs. Barden for sharing so many pictures and memories of Daniel with us all.. I always thought I was kind but the one thing I find a blessing from knowing the Newtown families that lost their child is that I now go out of my way to be kinder and more understanding to especially the unlovely people that I meet. I hug each and everyone of you in Newtown, and I also pray and recall Daniels bus driver, the first responders, the firemen, the clergy and all involved in helping these families cope. I cannot forget to mention Jesse Lewis our little hero who saved so many lives, and was so brave doing so. His Mom Scarlett Lewis and her surviving son JT are also heroes in my books. Thank you Mrs. Lewis for teaching so many about forgiveness during your continual journey of grief. I thank all the parents and I will pray for the siblings and friends of these families. I wish I could wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year but I wont Ill just say I hope your memories of your child helps you get through the holidays in whatever manner you see fit. I know its a little blessing to know that youre not alone, so many of us have all of you in our hearts. big hugs from Canada!!
