I really need to write a better zombie story, something with a bit more consistency and a better explanation. Why is it that zombies seem to pass right through the woods without getting snagged up and virtually lost for all time? The Georgia woods are not an idyllic park. Why does the concentrations of zombies in an area seem to be unrelated to the successful efforts to get rid of them? If the town is small, and the road is blocked, it shouldnt be that difficult to make a nice, wide open space that is relatively clear. The more successful you are the fewer zombies you should ever see. Why dont people just make for the frozen sections of the country, or the wetlands? The snow can stop trucks, and the zombies will rip themselves to shreds trying to free themselves when they freeze to the ground. Alligators and crocodiles eat rotting flesh, and swamps make travel by foot impossible. Would mountain towns even have a problem? Why not Wyoming? Low populations, lots of barbed wire fences, and a deadly cold bitter wind basically all the time. Sure, you have to survive Wyoming... But you wont have much more problems with your neighbors than what you could already expect.
