I recall the morning clearly. I had arrived at the MTC and was oblivious to what had happened until a close friend told me what shed heard. The most impressive thing I remember about that day so many years ago now, is the spirit that prevailed upon the missionaries. Each new something momentous had happened, something that should be remembered and would be. Thinking upon it now, I dont think it surprising that the spirit would move upon us so. It is a reflection of a parents saddened heart that the choices of a few of His children would so drastically change the course of thousands of others. It is a reminder of the cost free agency can have on those around us. As a result I like to think that I am more careful in how I react to the world around me and how I make my decisions.
