I received a lovely message from a parent of a student at Warrnambools Special Development School, and she has graciously allowed me to share it here: Hi Roy, My 12 year old, darling autistic son attends the SDS here in Warrnambool which is a fantastic school with fantastic staff that seem really dedicated and hard working. So happy to see you and the deputy state opposition leader and education spokesman, James Merlino featured in the school newsletter stating that if you were successful in the next election [ie if Labor wins government], you would pledge $5 million to a new school. We really need this! Its the only shcool in Vic that doesnt have a footy oval due to it being built on the side of a dangerously steep hill! Our kids with special needs deserve a great school as all kids do. I wish you all the best in your campaign. All I can say is that its about bloody time we had a change here in our safe seat of Warrnambool. We deserve better! All the best with your campaign, Roy. Im sure you can do this!
