I received a voice-mail that was multifaceted. It was from one of my youngest teacher; who immediately expressed concern for my boys behaviors and his work ethics, in calm no uncertain terms. By what I heard I believed this was a Im tired of his shit call. It was not. He then stated how he believed in my boy, and that he understood the material was difficult but if given the chance he felt confident he could make my boy really know it. He offered to stay after school and help, to work one on one during class, and even offered his personal books on the subject. My kid didnt earn this kind of offer from what I learned of his behaviors. But here I listen as this fella goes way above and beyond because he really wants to help someone succeed. My faith may be lost in the system, but my faith is restored in the fact that badasses still follow their passions.
