I received an important phone call tonight. It was the Crisis - TopicsExpress

I received an important phone call tonight. It was the Crisis Assessment Team from the governments Department of Human Services. They had been contacted by my psychiatrist about my critical mental health situation and complex needs. I still have not updated you on my last psych app but as I have mentioned it didnt go well. CAT have agreed to refer me onto the ongoing care team. This means I will get a full time mental health worker to assist me is planing all my appointments and helping me get the appropriate care. However the big opportunity for me here is when I do get my mental health worker if they assess me and agree with my psych position on my complex needs they will then refer me to the BPD Institute of Victoria. Here I can get full holistic treatment and rehabilitation for not just BPD but a range of issues. This referral from the ongoing help mental health worker is the only way I can access this facility. Its going to be several weeks until I get my mental health worker, unfortunately, so the plan in the meantime is to continue my one on one psychotherapy with my DBT therapist at a separate clinic. Its a long road to recovery made even longer and more exhausting just trying to get the best ad most appropriate help. Ive been really struggling lately. Energy levels and moods have been so low and there has been a lot of emptiness and detachment. So this good news was very timely. Im not jumping up and down about it at the moment, but thats because borderline has my mind pined to the floor, my heart in my throat and my soul turned off. Love, LL 󾬔
