I received my letter from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salem, VA this morning. They have scheduled me for colon surgery on September 5th, 2014. I have a baseball sized tubular adenoma which I have had for quite awhile near my appendix. Growths of this kind frequently become adenocarcinomas over time and go from benign to cancerous. I am 58 years old and should have been checked in my early 40s due to my exposure to the tainted drinking water at Camp Lejeune while in the U.S. Marine Corps. I am going to stay busy and try to keep this added stress off my mind during August. I am asking for your prayers for my close friends and family. I have been doing lots of praying lately to let GOD know I am ready if it is his will. But being saved I know that GODs word promises us miracles and divine intervention. Some say doctors but really it is the GOD that gives them that talent! I love you all and know that 1 true friend or 1000 true friends, that it isnt the quantity but the quality of my true friends ! GOD BLESS US ALL ! AMEN
