I recently had the great pleasure of meeting Father Damon Geiger, the pastor at St. Jude Catholic Church (Melkite Rite). Turns out he is a dog lover. When I mentioned that I am reluctant to leave Hunter outside the Church when we pass by on our walks, he told me it would be okay to bring him inside as long as I hold him and that no services are being conducted. I took Father Geiger up on his offer this morning, and Hunter and I went in for a brief, lovely time of prayer and gratitude. First on my list, of course, was the opportunity to have met Father Geiger and his invitation to allow my darling pooch to visit along with me. It was wonderful!
