I remember back in 92...the time i went to my Moms house after work...and my Mother was layin back in the lounge chair. I thought she was asleep. then I saw her eyes were half open. and I said Mom several times. each time getting louder. and she wasnt responding. so I called 911 and the paramedics came. she was able to respond after the paramedics revived her. they put her on a gurney and as they walked her down the porch steps, I noticed the IV tube was about to get hung up on the railing. so I stopped them and took care of the situation. as they proceeded to go down those steps...the paramedic at the bottom, almost dropped the gurney. and my Mom told me to take over for her. I was getting ready to take over. but the paramedic insisted she has it now. but I kept by that paramedic the whole time down the steps to the side walk. anyway...after she got home from the hospital...she seemed to be doing fine. not long after that...one day, my daughter was over my Moms house and I came there to pick her up. and my Mom cooked me a real nice dinner. and she told me...after I eat, she got something important to tell me. but during the meal...I kept on insisting that she go ahead and tell me. she already told my daughter. so while I was eating...she told me she only has a few weeks to live. I jumped up outa my chair and I yelled out...YOU ARE NOT GONNNA DIE. so I just ran outa the house and went to sit on the park bench at the apartment building next to Moms house. and I was crying like crazy. almost a minute later (and ill never forget this) my daughter who was about 9 years old at the time...she came out and sat right next to me and put her arm around me and just sat there with me. that was a real precious moment to me.
