I remember being too naive to know about Cerebral Palsy and early - TopicsExpress

I remember being too naive to know about Cerebral Palsy and early birth. Looking back at it now, 16 years after she came into my life, I am reminded of how blessed she is, and of how fortunate and proud I am to know her as my sister, my flesh and blood, my pride and joy. My sister, Milagros, is a miracle and blessing in the lives of my family and I. Her name itself means miracle, referring to how she was able to grow into a wonderful young lady, seeing as how she was born prematurely. To think that she is in high school now, able to smile and enjoy life, despite her disability... She inspires me and motivates me to try my best in everything I do, so that I can give her world and then some one day. Same goes for my family, Im sure. Shes a ray of sunshine and a solid support whenever I need it. No matter the amount of things I can do for her as my sister, I feel as though she has done more for me than I could ever ask for. Showing me the brighter side of everything, trying to pick me up when Im down, and giving me a love that I would not be able to find anywhere else in the world. Shes given me a completely different look on life, and I couldnt be more grateful. And with that I say, Happy Birthday sis... I love you, and I always will.
