:I remember growing up in Catholic School and wondering about things I had to come up with when we HAD to go to CONFESSION. Here I was, a little kid, for goodness sakes. Why do we have to be so preoccupied with SIN?? How about we should just do the RIGHT thing?? Again, this may offend some of you. Im sorry if it does. Not my intention. But historically, organized religions got their masses to conform and obey by scaring the little $#!T out of them. Do THIS and you will go to HELL. Say or think THIS and you will go to HELL. If you dont believe in what we want you to believe, you will go to HELL. Fear mongering to make the masses be good little boys and girls. You can always choose to be good because its the RIGHT THING TO DO, you know. One cant deny it was one HELL of a way to get people to do as you wanted. If I were to convince you that you would go to HELL for not signing up to my subscriber site, Id have 1,751 of you just from this page alone signed up in less than an hour. Fear, especially when the threat behind it is fire and brimstone, is a POWERFUL tool of coercion, for sure.
