I remember how mind-blowing it was to see this video for the first time. When Snake was revealed for this game during its development, I thought it was really cool and interesting that they were adding in characters that werent owned by Nintendo themselves. Plus, Metal Gear is really awesome and I love the character of Solid Snake. But never in a million years did I think Sonic had a chance of being in the game. Ever since the false rumors of Sonic and Tails being playable in Melee, I pretty much eliminated all chance of Sonic being in Smash Bros. from my mind. Needless to say, seeing this video, especially after all of the fake leaks and fake screenshots of Sonic in Brawl, had me floored. Sonic was by far the most requested character for this game and the fact that it took them so long to even acknowledge that made me think that I was right and that it was never going to happen. Seeing this for the first time made me feel like magic was happening. Especially after the long history of the rivalry between Nintendo and Sega. And now, hes sharing that spotlight once again with two other gaming legends, Mega Man and Pac-Man. This is one of the reasons why I love Nintendo as much as I do. They make magic happen. Bringing together my two favorite video game characters of all time, two super iconic characters that played a huge part in shaping the industry... youll never see anybody else do something that monumental in games. I felt those strong emotions again today after playing the new game, and watching this again after all this time. Keep on rockin, Nintendo!
