I remember it like it was yesterday. 3 years ago today my world was shaken, literally. I was at work when someone came pounding on the door any children in there? I opened swiftly as I realized the earth beneath me was trembling ferociously. After 5 minutes the calm before the storm set in. Less than and hour later a tsunami hit the coast of Japan knocking it to its knees. Fukushima Nuclear plant became a war zone and Japan was at its mercy. Iodine tablets were dispensed and we sheltered in place...waiting...praying. 6 days later the boys and I evacuated Japan to our safe haven, New York. Japan and the Navy have afforded me an experience that has forever changed my life, good and bad. Please continue to pray for the place I called home not so long ago. Nippon, arigato!
