I remember it like yesterday, Breigh’s husband Mike talking - TopicsExpress

I remember it like yesterday, Breigh’s husband Mike talking talking to patty and myself about the interest of her joining the team. I also remember vividly the apprehension when talking to Breigh about the idea of racing and a response that went something like…. “umm i might try a race”. Well good thing she did. She has been such a pleasure, a student of the sport, willing to learn and gain experience. She provides a sense of comic relief on team rides but switches to a serious power house train in races. She has grown so much in one short year that includes apprehension of riding in a group and chasing down her own teammates to …… Managing pack riding and carrying out team tactics to set up teammates for the win. She has even been able to sneak off the group to take a podium place in a crit. Breigh has been a great part of our team and we look forward to seeing her grow, get stronger, develop more experiences and rack up race results. Here is a bit about her…. Name: Breigh Chadwick 1. Where did you grow up? Bucks County, Pennsylvania 2. What is your profession? Full time Mom, Part-time Nurse Liaison 3. What do you love most about cycling? The bike team! 4. What is your favorite place to ride? And where have you always wanted to ride? Fav: Anywhere that is free of cars! So, Salem County works best around here. Want to ride? I’m so new I don’t have too many aspirations yet. However, we rode down Mount Haleakala in Hawaii and I hated it!!! (was before I started cycling) so, now I would like to go back but, want to ride UP the mountain instead!! 5. What is the hardest part of racing? The mental aspect. My own chicken-ness and being patient. But, also knowing how hard I can push and when to do it. 6. What’s your most memorable moment on the bike? Beating my husband in my very first TT was my favorite. But, now I would say the bike races with the team. Love the team aspect 7. What rider would you most like to meet? Hmm, not sure. 8. Why should everyone ride a bike? For the sense of accomplishment. 9. What is your favorite food on the bike? Post-ride treat? Nanny’s home made chocolate chip cookies!! Or lately I’ve been eating my home made LaraBars that I make into balls-so LaraBalls. Post Ride treat- protein shakes(with Kale in them of course)
