I remember my clash with policemen about 2 years ago. I was carrying my laptop o, i was on an okada and i was pinging on d fone. Before i knew it, about 6 policemen on bike flanked us, told my bikeman to stop and asked me to get down. Identify yorsef one of the retards barked. I presented my id and told dem i was a student. Wetin dey inside yor bag? My laptop Can we see? I was stupid enough to ask why. The next thing i saw was stars. As in, before then, I had always thought if i slap you, you will be seeing stars was a joke. My people, I saw stars of different shapes and sizes. My hearing was another ish, my ear was making sounds like an FM radio trying to settle. I was doubly foolish to ask that Oga, wetin I do nah? The second ear was sent on assignment too. They dragged my bag, emptied the contents on the floor and asked me to pack it. At that point, I insisted on being taken to the police station to see the DPO. Because I had small mouth in the area as a student leader and a strong member of the human right community in the university, I was taken to the station amidst threats. See this boy sha. At the station, their power increased, their story changed, they claimed I resembled a frat guy they had been looking for. They didnt allow me to see the DPO immediately but stripped me of my shirt looking for initiation marks. After that, they went through my laptop, checked my pictures, went through my messages. At that point i was boiling and we started shouting. I, demanding to see the DPO, and they threatening to shoot me. Eventually, the DPO heard the noise and came out. Because my organization was recognized and had a good rapport with the police, he called me into his office after i had introduced myself, apologised on behalf of his men, claiming that the recent cult killings necessitated all that. I knew better, but let it slide. I left, still angry and determined to press charges, but as I was leaving, the bozos came to meet me making a cheap attempt at apologising and asking when I would carry dem go do aye.
