I remember not having to be so concerned about the type of fish we ate... Fish was often promoted as the healthiest of the animal products, and endorsed for its high levels of Omega 3. However, it seems that there is a degradation of the fish supply, largely as a result of an increase in mercury, a poison that interferes with the brain and nervous system, and which has been linked to alzheimers disease. This mercury is primarily the result of coal fired power plants. So, it seems that when industry poisons our environment and essentially makes previously good food choices unhealthy, it is an inescapable consequence of the perfect free market. If on the other hand, government tries to regulate or tax certain foods/drinks/smokes, it is a Nanny State.
