I remember, over a year ago, had my right wrist fractured because of a bad fall (Oct. 30, 2012). Had it operated on and the Orthopedic doctor placed a metal fixator on my forearm, was left in there for almost a month and I did not have to work for over a month to have it fixated and that the fractured parts be healed. Even Abstained from regular exercise...... :( Oh, yes, It was indeed, a very humbling experience having to be assisted in taking a bath, in dressing up (especially wearing loose dresses to accommodate the metal fixator), in eating, in almost every single thing I have had to do (because Ive only been used to having a dental aide and secretary during work) but during those times I was totally dependent on somebody else. It was difficult asking for help, yes, help came, thank God. But during times when no help came and was in dire need, once I asked, and was denied, it was a very painful experience, alone, as if I was being abandoned. Only then, I felt even God was not listening to my prayers......but still I held on and still do hold on to God....to God alone is my strength. I know the feeling of people being denied help....... God has plans for our lives and we should seek to be faithful and not spend our time and energy chasing after unreachable goals. I have learned : An active prayer life plus total surrender to God equals WISDOM. Man is never so tall as when he kneels before God, never so great as when he humbles himself before God. And a man who kneels to God can stand up to anything (Louis H. Evans) Isaiah 9:6-7
