I remember the first time hearing the voice of God. I had just gotten saved and I was in a unhealthy relationship that God was trying to sever. One day while at work, as clear as day the Holy Ghost said to me, if you leave now and go to such and such street, you will see the guy that she is cheating on you with. I told my supervisor that I had to leave to take care of some personal business. When I got to the spot, God said, park your car out of view, because she told him if he ever see this car to keep driving. Sure enough, 15 minutes later the guy pulls up. I get out and approach him. Startled and confused, he confessed everything. Never ignore those checks in your spirit that God give you about individuals. I said all of that to say that many times we are trying to hold to things that mean us no good, when God is trying to give us something better.
