I remember the first time i saw Lexi after i left her at Blackpool Vic we wasnt allowed in the ambulance with her, walking into PICU at Alder Hey not knowing what to expect begging a doctor to tell me if she had arrived ok, so frightening your first time on PICU machines everywhere you get used to the beeps, remember seeing blood in Lexis ear and a nurse saying its probably from when she arrested, seeing my baby girl who had been healthy the week before with tubes everywhere asleep, i just wanted to hold her so bad, I remember crying when they diagnosed her with a heart condition when they said shes on heart failure asking if she was going to die to be told we dont know signing consent forms that said she could die when going into theatre to have a tube put in for fluids, seeing my baby girl on kidney dialysis seeing the bag of blood ready for her transfusion, the worry she would die or need a heart transplant, it was so so scary i wouldnt wish it on anyone yes it was 12 months ago but i still recall it like it was yesterday. Lexi is my miracle, my princess, my inspiration and my hero xx
