I remember the night that we watched Yo-yo Ma as he played Cinema - TopicsExpress

I remember the night that we watched Yo-yo Ma as he played Cinema Paradiso, this lovely masterpiece composed by Ennio Morricone and his son Andrea. My mom and dad held each others hands with tears in their eyes. This is so beautiful, mom whispered to me, and I wish you would play Morricone. Truthfully, Ive started to crossover from classical to rock, so I thought Id never perform Morricones music. But this Saturday, my moms wish will come true. Im very honored to be playing for Andrea Morricone himself. And its very humbling that a Filipino kid would be invited to perform the world premiere of his Adagio in C Major for Cello, Harp, and Strings. Oscar winner Andrea Morricone is one of the greatest film composers, and I never even imagined Id meet him. How did this happen? The Fil-Am community came together and made it happen. Im so proud of their support, and even more proud to be Filipino. I dont know how to repay them. So I will just keep saying, thank you, forever and sincerely, for as long as I make music. https://youtube/watch?v=jZWRp4UqyRo
