I remember this boat being built in someones backyard just behind Eastbourne Rd, Paladium shops in Middlesbrough. I used cycle past, down that cycle path to Teesside Poly every morning and watched it grow - the Boros Robinson Crusoe - after I moved up here in 1980. Its not there now. Perhaps he was a shipbuilder or former one; did he sell it or sail the seven seas on it? It was huge, not painted until later on. At weekends there would be sparks flying as he was engineering it in to shape.
