I remember when I was 14 years old, I became interested in film. Not only watching it, but the art of making them. I had a family member who knew someone who was into film as well but had a lot more experience than I did. This person actually had plans for a movie to come out and he began filming. My family member went around telling everyone that this filmmaker was looking for people to help and and act in his movies. So me, being the eager and anxious girl I was went up to my family member and said, I would like to be involved in this movie with your friend. I was immediately told no and that they didnt need someone like me in the way. All I wanted to do was learn. I didnt care for being seen. I took it to the heart and never said anything about it. But I knew at that moment, if I wanted to be a filmmaker I would simply just have to begin shooting my own films. Learning on my own.
