I rescued a baby snake today... Upon removing some masking tape that some painters left near the back deck, I noticed that there was a baby snake stuck to the adhesive side of the tape. It appears he tried mightily to free itself but got completely tangled in the process. It to took me twenty harrowing minutes to free the baby reptile but I finally succeeded. I literally had to pull its little body away from the adhesive in 4-5 places. The hardest part was getting the tape off his/her tiny head. I can only imagine the trauma it endured but he/she appeared to be alive when I let him/her go. On several occasions, I honestly did not think I was going to be able to do it because the snake was so stuck to the tape. For what its worth, I asked God to help me and I felt what I believe to be the Holy Spirit enter my body briefly. It is the same sensation I experience when I stop to feed homeless people and help animals in need.
