I rescued a straight egyptain gelding from a kill feedlot this - TopicsExpress

I rescued a straight egyptain gelding from a kill feedlot this weekend. Super excited about him! But I have a saddle fit question: He has a crazy hard to fit back. My saddle doesnt bridge on him and I think it will work. But I am wondering if there is a certain pad that will fit his odd conformation. He has very high withers, VERY short back and high hips. So he has a little bit of a dip behind his withers since his rump is so high. Again VERY short back between those high withers and where his hip starts to slope up. I ride in a 16.5 and I think that is the reason we dont have bridging. But is there a pad specifically made to fit a back like this? I included a picture but the quality isnt the best as this was just a homecoming snap shot from my phone.
