I reviewed the concept drawing from day one for the plans for Elmwood and the Amphitheater. There was no such indication of this fence in the proposal that I can recall, I could be wrong of course. I say the city has way over stepped in bounds and stolen this land from public space that was never intended to be used for the amphitheater and what was once a beautiful park and has now destroyed it and will complete the job with spending a quarter million more dollars for an unneeded playground of the scope for which they must be planning. How many kids live within walking distance to Elmwood? Are you telling me any sane parent will put their kid or kids in the car to drive downtown to go to a park where there is NO Place to park? Id love to know how much this cheap fence set us back that was supposed to keep people out and has now sustained substantial damage all along it from people jumping over it. How attractive is this for our new Amphitheater grounds? Will the city spend money to keep replacing it, build and even taller fence. Where is the Park in Elmwood Park. The name should be simply changed to the Elmwood Amphitheater Complex, which is what it is now. or sell it like its doing with everything else to McDonalds and put a golden arch over the brick columns at the entrance
