I saw Frozen tonight. Ill concede it was a well made Disney film, but it was ONLY that. The storyline and music, though good, was very Disney-like and was totally predictable. The whole message that only love can thaw a frozen heart is also very Disney-like since all Disney films have something to do with love. So nothing new there. Also the message about just being yourself is another typical motif in American animation. So nothing new there. Final analysis, 3/5 stars. This movie was an enjoyable film, but at the end of the day, I dont have any desire to watch it over and over. On the other hand however both the wind rises and The Lego Movie have that quality to it, and it is in that sense frozen seemed to thaw and melt.
