I saw Peter and Gordon in 66, when I was 17, at Contra Costa College. They had this great ROCK and ROLL band backing them and besides their hits they played classic 50s Rock and Roll songs. The sax player was off the charts. I am not positive, but I think he may have been a very young BOBBY KEYS, who passed yesterday. I talked to him and he said the band had been playing a teen fair in Texas with Peter and Gordon, and the BRITS asked them to back them for the rest of the tour. He had on these cool hip hugger flairs with a wide belt. I asked him where he got them and he said FLAGG BROTHERS shoes. I purchased a couple a pair. The sax player was the nicest guy, real friendly and funny. It might not have been Bobby, but I always thought it was. Only BOBBY knows.
