I saw a picture of my ex-husband recently. He has really changed, but his mannerisms are still the same. He looks fat and wealthy. Not a care on his face about his daughters, not a sign of guilt. I wondered how I could forgive all the harm he has done to us, the poverty he has put us through, especially the girls. My eldest daughter still has the teddy bear he gave her many years ago. He never bought any toys, so I am so sure he won it or maybe the girlfriend he had in Spain sent it to him. He only brought home one bear and he had two little girls. I had not realized that every time we look at the bear our hearts break. My youngest daughter remembers inviting him to her wedding and after he said he would come, he didnt and didnt even send her a card. Me, I remember how he stole our house from us, built another on top and has collected rent on it for years. To us it was home, to him it meant another way to make more money. He has never invited the girls to his other house, because he did not want them to interfere with his new family. His wife and the girls met briefly, but when the girls opened up to her about how miserly he had been to us and they were becoming friends, he decided not to have anything to do with his own daughters. Last night I had a profound dream. I dreamed he had come to apologize to us. He, in the dream, could not do enough for us. Then, suddenly, his clothes changed from bright summer clothes to a black suit. Then the dream ended. I asked the Lord, Is someone going to die? No, He said, Someone will never be alive to you and the girls. He is dead to you. Dont worry about the girls, I will take care of them. Throw away that bear in the trash. He is garbage. Thank you Lord for loving the fatherless and the widows. You always provided for us. You always saw the best in us. We were not perfect yet you loved us and are still making a way for us when there is absolutely no way. You have done exceedingly and abundantly far above what we asked or even thought. Thanks!
