I saw an email sent to an LTA Officer who is looking into the issue of cycling. I am happy that the public is seeing the improvements taking place in the infrastructure developments for safe, pleasant and comfortable cycling in Singapore. Thanks to the hard work and commitment of staff at MOT, MND, LTA and NParks, as well as the support from all our stakeholders, including all road users. Although we are at the early stage of our journey, I believe we are progressing well. The email read as follows: "I stopped cycling in May and June due to changes in my work pattern and I was back on the Buangkok PCN only earlier this week. Thanks for removing the obstructing busstop ad panel. Cycling past that busstop is now so much more pleasant. Furthermore, I would also like to express my appreciation for the small stretch of black road tar that was laid along the little used road pedestrian path next to where Buangkok Green joins with Sengkang East Road. Previously, that patch was often flooded and unfriendly to both pedestrian and cyclists. If you are not the right party, please convey my gratitude to your colleagues who made this happen."
