I saw lots of flashes of lightning from our west window last night as I was going to sleep to the sound of a gentle shower. The Word says: "...just as the lightning flashes from the east and shines and is seen as far as the west, so will the coming of the Son of man....You must be ready therefore, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him,,,Watch therefore for you know neither the day not the hour..."Lightning that ushers in showers is such a blessing; I can only imagine the lightning that will usher in the return of our Savior Jesus. Father God, we thank You for the rain you send and the lightnings. Holy Spirit, today will you bring an image of Jesus return to those who have never found the straight and narrow path to a life of eternity with God and to those who have left that path. Father, thank You for not being willing that any should perish and giving us time to repent. Thank You for Your beautiful creation and for the reminders of Your grace and justice. To You be the glory, forever and ever. Amen
