I saw something so sad today immediately followed by an act of kindness. Made me realize again how awesome God is in his mercy. As I was driving, a squirrel that seemed to be having seizures wriggled off the sidewalk and onto the road right in front of my car. I stopped to wait for him to move but he went belly up and I am assuming died. He was not hit or anything... subhanAllah. I waited for oncoming traffic to go and drove around it. I had to circle the block to find parking and went I came back to that spot, a man who was exiting Friday prayer grabbed a newspaper and moved the squirrel from the road and onto the sidewalk, behind a wall. In Islam, we must be kind to all living beings. That man made me smile after being so sad for the little animal...
