I saw this in a friends wall and i was touched, pls read :I listened to kingsley Kuku, the presidential adviser to mr president on Niger delta yesterday on channels tv morning programme anchored in Lagos. Of all his speeches the one that touched me most was his statement that during the era of militant attacks in niger delta that Chief Tony Anini went to camp 5 the most dreaded campin the creek where bishop Tompolo was commanding and begged Tompolo to drop arms and accept amnesty. Mr Kuku further stated that when Tompolo expressed fear of being arrested if he visits late president Yaradua in Abuja to finally discuss on how to resolve the insurgency in the region, that Chief Anini volunteered to remain in the creeks with Tompolo boys while Tompolo goes to visit Yaradua in Aso rock. He asked Tompolo to order his boys to kill him if president Yaradua dare arrest him. wow, thats a good example of statesmanship. I was touched by such patriotism for the peace of his people. Pls can someone tell Buhari to emulate Anini and approach boko haram leaders for peace to return to north east? can someone tell Lia muhammad to issue a statement calling on boko haram to accept the amnesty extended to them by GEJ?Now that Sanusi is out of job, can he relocate to Borno statefor some sort of intervention since school children no longer attend the schools he built with CBN intervention fund due tofear of attack? The leaders in Abia state rose and assisted govt during thepeak of kidnapp in the state. These attacks will stop if the northern leaders do the needfull....
