I saw this yesterday and found it utterly disturbing. Please do not fall for this spin. This is pure PR! Monsanto has had their hand in some of the worst environmental poisonings (ie Agent Orange) and pushes agriculture methods that are destroying our farm lands and poisoning our drinking water and oceans. They are controlling the seed industry and preventing farmers from farming with ancient seed saving methods which is jeopardizing our freedom to grow and eat the foods that we choose and that which is as nature created. Monsanto has become a world bully, suing farmers who dont do as they dictate and they are contaminating the environment with genetically engineered crops. Now we have pesticide resistant superweeds because of their engineering and chemicals. We also have cancer causing growth hormones in our food and we have a serious problem with antibiotic resistant bacteria such as MRSA. We have to change this. Our government has allowed them to damage our environment because many of the politicians receive campaign funding and are lobbied heavily to ensure that no legislation is passed that requires extensive research or regulations. It is insane really. Europe has regulations on GMOs and requires research as well as labeling on food. When the DNA of food is changed (as inserting the genes of a different species into a plant), this affects the proteins that you take into your body.
