I searched high and low today for Corabelles twin doelings. We went out to lunch with my wonderful son, Andy Poland, and when we got back, I put on my hiking boots and a hat and walked down to the big pond. Saw nothing but frogs and a few snapping turtles. I climbed back up the substantial hill, crossed the horse pasture and heard baby goats bleating. They were running down the road together. I know I must have passed them in their hiding place many times this morning, because that is the direction I had been looking in. All I can think is they finally got too hungry to hide out any longer and decided to come looking for their mama. Corabelle finally realized those were her babies bleating for her. She ran to them, let them nurse, then she pulled away from them, and honestly, scolded them severely for hiding out. Anyway, Im so thankful they are safe and sound, and I hope that they and Corabelle have learned their lessons.
